Cowshed gutted in Gundjahingir

Sumbal: A cowshed in Gundjahingir village in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district was engulfed in a fire mishap on Wednesday evening.
Officials reported that the fire broke out in a cowshed belonging to Assadullah Sheikh, son of the late Abdul Khaliq Sheikh and a resident of Gundjahingir.
The cowshed suffered partial damage in the fire mishap. An official from the Fire and Emergency department confirmed that the timely response by the Fire Services Station in Naidkhai prevented the flames from spreading to surrounding properties, saving assets worth crores of rupees.
The immediate cause of the fire is unknown, and an investigation into the incident has been initiated.
It’s pertinent to mention that this is the fifth fire incident at the same spot and the ninth fire incident in the village within the last nine days.
