SRINAGAR: On the 661st death anniversary (Urs) of Hazrat Amir-e-Kabir Mir Syed Ali Hamadani (RA), also revered as Shah-e-Hamadan, Kashmiri leaders and communities paid heartfelt tribute to the spiritual luminary whose teachings continue to influence the region’s faith, culture, and social fabric.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooqreflected on the enduring legacy of Hazrat Amir-e-Kabir in a poignant tweet. He stated, “On the 661st Death anniversary (Urs) of Hazrat Amir-e-Kabir Mir Syed Ali Hamadani (RA), Shah-e-Hamadan, we remember with deep reverence our great spiritual benefactor, who transformed our lives with the light of Islamic faith.”
He highlighted the profound impact of Hazrat Amir-e-Kabir (RA), noting that Kashmiris remain eternally indebted to him not only for guiding them towards Islam but also for enriching their cultural and economic life through arts, crafts, and traditional practices associated with his mission and companions.
Hazrat Amir-e-Kabir’s (RA) spiritual, cultural, and civilizational legacy continues to serve as a guiding light for Kashmir, Mirwaiz said. He prayed for Allah to elevate his darajat (status) and grant believers the strength to uphold his noble teachings, concluding with an “Ameen”.
