SRINAGAR: On the annual Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Amir-e-Kabir Mir Syed Ali Hamadani (RA), Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah paid glowing tributes and extended their heartfelt greetings to the people, remembering the illustrious saint as a towering spiritual luminary and a transformative force in the religious, cultural, and socio-economic history of Kashmir.
The duo said that Hazrat Shah-e-Hamadan (RA) arrived in Kashmir with the divine mission of spreading the eternal message of truth, peace, compassion, humility and piety. They observed that it was through the untiring missionary zeal and spiritual guidance of Hazrat Amir-e-Kabir (RA) and his revered companions that Islam,the religion of peace, harmony, and brotherhood, took firm roots and flourished across the Valley.
Paying rich homage to the great saint, the duo noted that Hazrat Shah-e-Hamadan (RA) was not only a revered preacher, scholar, and reformer, but also a visionary who revolutionized the socio-economic landscape of Kashmir by introducing various crafts, arts, and indigenous industries, thereby empowering people with self-reliance, dignity, and sustainable livelihoods.
Describing him as a true benefactor, spiritual guide and beacon of enlightenment for the people of Kashmir, Dr. Farooq and Omar Abdullah said that the timeless teachings of Hazrat Amir-e-Kabir (RA) deeply rooted in the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah continue to illuminate hearts and minds, inspiring generations towards righteousness, moral integrity, communal harmony and spiritual awakening.
Meanwhile, the party’s rank and file, legislators, Members of Parliament, provincial and state office bearers, media and social media functionaries, as well as members of the Minority Wing, also paid rich tributes to Hazrat Amir-e-Kabir (RA) and recalled his enduring legacy of spirituality, wisdom, enlightenment and selfless service to humanity.
