PAMPORE: A felicitation ceremony was held at Government Degree College (GDC) Pampore to celebrate the successful completion of a three-month Skill Development Course in Web Development. The programme was jointly organised by the District Employment & Counselling Centre Pulwama and DcodeFuture Pampore, with a focus on equipping unemployed youth of the district with relevant digital and technical skills.
Dr. Gazala Gayis, Principal of GDC Pampore, attended the event as the Chief Guest. In her address, she stressed the growing need for skill-oriented education in an increasingly digital world and commended the initiative for providing students with practical competencies that enhance their career prospects.
Rayees Shapoo, Career Counsellor from the Department of Employment and Career Counselling, also spoke at the event. He outlined the department’s continued commitment to supporting youth through targeted training programmes and career guidance initiatives aimed at improving employability.
Aadil Bhat, Founder of DcodeFuture, highlighted the structure and outcomes of the course. He reaffirmed the organisation’s mission to advance coding education and digital awareness in the region, encouraging participants to build on their learning and pursue opportunities within the technology sector.
The course covered fundamental and applied aspects of web development, offering hands-on experience with contemporary tools and technologies. It was designed to address the gap between academic instruction and industry expectations.
Outstanding participants were recognised during the ceremony. Amarah Arshid secured first position, followed by Momin Mushtaq in second place and Saima Ashraf in third. Their performances were acknowledged and appreciated by the dignitaries present.
The event also featured remarks by Advocate Nadeem Qadri and retired Principal Firdous Wani. Certificates were awarded to all participants in recognition of their successful completion of the programme.
