SRINAGAR: The My Youth My Pride Jammu and Kashmir UT Level Ball Badminton Championship 2025–26 concluded successfully at Gindun Sports Stadium in Raj Bagh, Srinagar, after three days of intense competition from March 26 to 28, 2026. The event saw enthusiastic participation from teams across the Union Territory, showcasing impressive skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Players competed with determination, making the tournament both exciting and competitive.
The championship was organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Ball Badminton Association under the auspices of the Ball Badminton Federation of India and the J&K Sports Council. Over 200 players and more than 50 officials from various districts participated in the event, which was sponsored by the J&K Sports Council.
The closing ceremony was attended by several notable guests and dignitaries, including Mr. Bilal Parray from BJP J&K, along with other officials from political and sports organizations. The event was also graced by local district heads and prominent players, emphasizing the event’s significance in promoting sports in the region.
Arsheena Khan, the General Secretary of the J&K Ball Badminton Association and Vice President of the Ball Badminton Federation of India, served as the chief organizer, with Mr. Mohsin Farooq acting as organizing secretary. During the ceremony, the chief guest praised the efforts of the organizers and the Sports Council, emphasizing the importance of sports in fostering discipline and positive social values. He encouraged young players to continue participating actively in sports and to aim for excellence.
Prizes and certificates were distributed to winners and participants, celebrating their performances. The organizers expressed their gratitude to all teams, officials, volunteers, and media personnel for their support in making the event a grand success. The championship concluded on a positive note, promoting a strong sports culture and inspiring young talent across the region.
