SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Chief Spokesperson and MLA Zadibal, Tanvir Sadiq on Saturday inaugurated the much anticipated Karam Shah Bridge at Syedakadal, constructed at a cost of ₹45.29 lakh.
The inauguration marks the fulfillment of a long-pending demand of the local population and an important commitment made during the election campaign. The bridge will provide vital connectivity and ensure safer, easier access for more than 45,000 residents living across the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Tanvir said, “This bridge is not just a physical structure but a bridge to dignity, safety and opportunity for thousands of residents. Fulfilling promises made to the people and addressing their genuine needs remains our foremost priority.”
He emphasized that infrastructure development remains central to inclusive growth and public welfare, particularly in densely populated urban areas like Zadibal.
Officials from the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department, along with National Conference local party functionaries and local residents, were present at the inauguration ceremony.
