National Voters’ Day Pledge Held at Police Range Baramulla

Must read

Baramulla,:Range Police Headquarters (RPHQ), Baramulla, observed the 16th National Voters’ Day with a solemn ceremony reaffirming its commitment to democratic values.

On the occasion, all officers and officials took the Voters’ Pledge, emphasizing the importance of free, fair, and peaceful elections in strengthening the democratic fabric of the nation.
The pledge, which calls upon citizens to vote fearlessly and without being influenced by religion, race, caste, community, language, or inducement, was recited collectively, symbolizing the resolve of the police fraternity to safeguard the dignity of the electoral process.

The ceremony highlighted the pivotal role of every voter in strengthening democratic institutions and underscored that the right to vote is not merely a constitutional entitlement but a solemn duty that ensures transparency, accountability, and inclusivity in governance.

National Voters’ Day serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made to secure democratic freedoms and the responsibility that rests upon every citizen to exercise their franchise conscientiously.
Police, as guardians of law, bear a dual responsibility — both to protect the sanctity of the electoral process and to inspire the public through their own example of civic responsibility. Democracy thrives when citizens participate meaningfully in the electoral process, free from coercion or bias. The observance at RPHQ Baramulla thus stood as a testament to the enduring faith in democratic values and the collective resolve to strengthen the foundations of participatory governance in India.
