Srinagar: The Special Crime Wing of Crime Branch Kashmir has filed a charge sheet in FIR No. 05/2020 under Section 420 RPC before the Court of Sub Judge 13th Finance, Srinagar, against Muzaffar Ahmad Shah, son of Shamsudin Shah, resident of Saloora, Ganderbal, currently residing in Peerbagh.
The case was initiated following a complaint that accused Shah of fraudulently collecting ₹5.50 lakh from complainants by promising government jobs for them and their relatives. Prompt investigation by the Special Crime Wing uncovered substantial evidence linking the accused to the offense, the CBK said in a statement issued here.
The investigation revealed that Shah had exploited the aspirations of unemployed youth, misleading them into parting with their money through false promises. Based on these findings, the charge sheet has been filed for offenses under Section 420 of the RPC.
The Crime Branch Kashmir reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards job frauds and scams targeting gullible youth. The CBK said it remains committed to conducting rigorous, transparent investigations and urges the public to stay vigilant against such fraudulent practices.
