Hold prog on ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat’
SRINAGAR: Police in Awantipora, in collaboration with Medows Educational Institute Frestabal, organised a special cleanliness drive under the theme of Seva Parav Celebration. The initiative aimed to spread mass awareness about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene.
During the programme, SDPO Pampore RP Singh, SHO PS Pampore and other officials, students and staff members of Institute actively participated in the drive, cleaning the premises and adjoining areas. The effort was intended not only to improve the physical environment but also to convey a strong message of collective responsibility to the community.
On the occasion, J&K Police emphasised that cleanliness is an integral part of healthy living and community development. They reiterated that sustained cooperation between the police and the public is vital to achieving the long-term goals of a safe, clean, and progressive society.
Meanwhile, Police in Awantipora, under the aegis of “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Abhiyaan” and in collaboration with the District Youth Services and Sports Department, organised an awareness programme at Medows Educational Institute Frestabal, Pampore.
The event was attended by senior police officers including SDPO Pampore, SHO Pampore, officers from the District Youth Services and Sports Department, school staff, and a large gathering of students.
On the occasion, speakers highlighted the harmful effects of drug abuse and emphasised the importance of channelising the energy of youth towards positive and constructive activities in order to realise the vision of a drug-free society. Debate competitions were also held, where students expressed their views and shared suggestions to combat this menace.
At the conclusion of the event, all participants took a pledge to stay away from drugs and work collectively towards building a healthier, drug-free society.
