Srinagar: The Meteorological department today forecast light rains and snow at higher reaches at scattered places mainly over north and central Kashmir parts from March 25-27.
An official said that the weather will likely remain dry with generally cloudy on March 24 afternoon.
He said on March 25 there is a possibility of light rains and snow over higher reaches at scattered places mainly over north and central Kashmir.
Also a spell of light to moderate rains and snow over higher reaches at many places mainly over north and central Kashmir parts likely to occur towards March 26 late afternoon to March 27 evening, official said.
The official also forecast possibility of thunder with gusty winds at few places during March 26 to 27.
He said thereafter the weather will likely remain dry from March 28 to April 3.
The official advised travelers, tourists and transporters to plan their journey accordingly and follow advisories from administration and concerned traffic department.
He continued that farmers are advised to suspend farm operations during March 26 and 27.
