Jammu: Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment, Javed Rana, has said that 16 persons were killed in human-wildlife conflict during 2024-25 in Jammu and Kashmir.
While sharing the information in legislative assembly, he said 180 others sustained injuries in the conflict.
“Compensation has been provided for 11 deaths and 120 injury cases,” Rana stated, adding that 6252 animals were rescued or relocated.
