3 accused arrested; stolen property recovered
PULWAMA: Police in Pulwama cracked a theft case by arresting three accused persons involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property from their possession.
“Police Station Pulwama on 09/08/2024 received a complaint from one person namely Irshad Ahmad Dar son of Gh Mohammad Dar resident of Lajoora Pulwama regarding theft of a water pump from the under-construction building at Dangerpora Pulwama. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 163/2024 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Pulwama, and an investigation was promptly initiated,” police said in a statement.
During the investigation, the team from Police Station Pulwama rounded up three suspects namely Sheraj Ahmad Bhat son of Gh Nabi Bhat resident of Keller, Mehrooz Mushtaq son of Mushtaq Ahmad Dar and Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir son of Mohd Qasim Mir, both residents of Dangerpora, police said, adding that after sustained questioning, the suspected persons confessed their involvement in the commission of the crime. They were arrested and shifted to the police station where they remain in custody.
On their disclosure, the stolen water pump was also recovered. Further investigation into the case is ongoing.
