Apni Party leaders address public concerns, dev goals in Pampore

Committed to honest politics, regional development, says Altaf Bukhari

PULWAMA: Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Altaf Bukhari, Ashraf Mir and other leaders addressed a public gathering at Saffron Town Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday.
The party organized a mega public part convention at Tanchibagh, Pampore as part of the ongoing campaign for the upcoming parliamentary elections. Altaf Bukhari and Ashraf Mir, the party’s Provincial President and candidate for Lok Sabha Polls in Srinagar constituency addressed the huge public gathering.
Apni Party leaders Pampore Mir Altaf, Umar Jaan, Choudhary Mohammad Yaseen Poswal and other senior leaders also addressed the public gathering during the convocation. Party leader Mohammad Younis Masoodi, Meema Akhtar, a good number of party workers and local people from different areas of Pampore constituency participated in the convention.
Addressing the public gathering, Bukhari said, “Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party is committed to honest and true politics, focusing on achievable goals. He emphasized our dedication to addressing unemployment and fostering development in the region.”
He pointed out that “misguided policies” of past political parties have led to youth unemployment and drug issues, jeopardizing our future. “Despite challenges, our party took proactive steps post-August 5 to serve the people, safeguarding their rights and opportunities. Unlike others who remained passive, we stepped up to protect our land, jobs, and most importantly, our people,” he said.
The Apni Party President said, “Pampore’s Saffron is famous worldwide, but its people are still disappointed. You don’t necessarily need government jobs, but at least there should be government assistance and guidance. I have a relationship with the people of the Pampore area because you are hardworking. Those involved in saffron farming or stone quarries should be supported.”
He added, “If we talk about the irrigation system of the saffron mission, all the irrigation pumps are useless. The irrigation system, including the borewells that were constructed and the youth employed for it, has not received their salaries yet. An inquiry should be initiated into where their salaries have gone, and who has embezzled them. This is a big scandal, and we will investigate. The youth should receive their salaries.”
Speaking to media persons, Altaf Bukhari said, “We will support those who will ensure the freedom of our children and restore statehood. I am pleased when people attend rallies and listen. It’s not just about elections; it’s about analyzing whom to vote for and what to give. This is what democracy is all about.”
He added, “I have a lot of respect for National Conference leader, former Member Parliament Hasnain Masoodi. He is an honest and law-abiding person, but he went to the wrong party. He has spent his life seeking justice, and I don’t know what emotions led him to join the wrong party. I believe he must also be regretting somewhere which party he joined. Because a judge is always associated with justice, and he might feel that justice is not being served here.”
