Police organize free medical camp at remote Pampore village; 400 people, students benefit

PULWAMA: The Jammu and Kashmir Police organized a mega free medical camp in the remote village of Zantrag Khrew in Pampore, under the Civic Action Programme, which witnessed a significant turnout of people.
SDPO Pampore Krishan Rattan, along with SHO Khrew Syed Mubarak, inaugurated the camp in the presence of senior citizens of the area. The initiative aimed to provide essential medical services to the residents, particularly focusing on women, children, elders, and students.
During the day-long camp, approximately 400 patients received medical checkups, and free medicines were distributed among the attendees. A team of nine doctors, including a female doctor, conducted the checkups and provided consultations.
SDPO Krishan Rattan emphasized the importance of physical and mental health, hygiene, and preventive healthcare measures in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. He also advised the youth to refrain from indulging in illicit drugs.
Locals expressed gratitude towards the Jammu and Kashmir Police for organizing the medical camp, highlighting that it was the first-ever initiative of its kind in the history of their village. They appreciated the efforts of SDPO Pampore Krishan Rattan and other police officials for their proactive approach in addressing the healthcare needs of the community.
SDPO Krishan Rattan mentioned that the initiative was undertaken to ensure that residents of remote villages like Zantrag Khrew have access to essential healthcare services, considering the challenges they face in reaching hospitals due to infrastructural issues.
The medical camp received positive feedback from the community, with many expressing their appreciation for the initiative and the efforts made by the police department to improve healthcare accessibility in remote areas.
