Pampore inaugurates New Type Primary Health Centre; locals thank LG admin

Improved healthcare facility to serve villages in Pulwama district

PAMPORE: In a significant step towards enhancing healthcare services, Block Medical Officer Dr. Asima Nazir inaugurated the New Type Primary Health Centre (NTPHC) in Ratnipora village, within the Health Block Pampore on Monday. The inauguration marked the transition from a temporary rented building to a permanent facility, ensuring better healthcare accessibility for several villages.
The event witnessed the presence of esteemed health officials, including Dr. Mohammad Yousuf, Shamim Abdullah, Ashiq Masoodi, Pharmacist Showkat Andrabi, and various civil society members, along with other local residents. The upgraded health center is poised to provide improved and permanent health services to the community.
Dr. Asima Nazir, Block Medical Officer Pampore, congratulated civil society members and villagers during the inauguration. She assured that the health department would promptly allocate and provide any necessary facilities to support the community.
Expressing gratitude, civil society members thanked the LG Administration, Director of Health Services Kashmir, and the district administration in Pulwama for their crucial role in establishing the healthcare facility. The community expects the NTPHC Ratnipora to address the health needs of the local population effectively.
Mehraj Ud Din, a civil society member, spoke about the significance of the new health center. He expressed gratitude to the LG administration, health department, and district administration, specifically acknowledging the role of BMO Pampore, Dr. Asima Nazir. He emphasized that the hospital’s impact would extend beyond Ratnipora to nearby villages, contingent on resources provided by concerned departments.
Dr. Asima Nazir, in an interview with Kashmir Reader, highlighted the collaborative efforts in inaugurating the Ratnipora NTPHC. She emphasized the crucial role played by the local community in making the health center functional. Dr. Nazir detailed the staff allocations, mentioning the presence of two FMPHWs, an LMH, and assured prompt addressing of any issues related to supplies or bed availability.
The inauguration marks a positive development in healthcare accessibility, with hopes high for the NTPHC Ratnipora to effectively serve the health needs of the local population in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
