Dr Tauseef Sir is not just a teacher; he is a mentor, a guide and a source of inspiration for me

Since 2016, Dr Tauseef Ahmad Parray (fondly known as Dr Tauseef sir among his students) has been working as an Assistant Professor of Islamic Studies in J&K’s Higher Education Department. He joined our college, Government Degree College Sogam (Lolab) in February 2021. He holds a PG and PhD degrees in Islamic Studies from Kashmir University and Aligarh Muslim University. He is an established researcher and writer and has many books to credit, including the recently published “Islam and Democracy in the 21st Century” with the prestigious Oxford University Press.
One of the most remarkable traits of Dr Tauseef sir is his passion for teaching. His enthusiasm is contagious, and he has a unique ability to make even the most complex topics engaging and understandable. Whether it’s dissecting a literary masterpiece or unravelling the intricacies of a scientific theory, Dr Tauseef sir has a knack for bringing subjects to life, leaving his students captivating and enlightened.
Beyond his expertise in the subject, Dr Tauseef sir stands out for his unwavering support and encouragement. He ensures to the best of his level that his students not only excel academically but also grow as individuals. I feel no hesitation in saying that whenever I faced challenges or doubts, Dr Tauseef sir was there to offer guidance, reassurance and invaluable advice. His belief in my abilities instilled confidence in me and encouraged me to strive for excellence. Furthermore, Dr Tauseef’s dedication towards his students extends beyond the classroom. He takes a genuine interest in their well-being and personal development. Whether it’s mentoring a struggling student, leading a listening ear, or celebrating their achievements, His compassion and empathy create a nurturing environment where we feel valued and supported.
In addition to his academic prowess and mentorship, Dr Tauseef sir serves as a role model for integrity, humility and lifelong learning. His humility, despite his vast knowledge, is contagious, motivating his students to continuously seek growth and self-improvement.
Dr Tauseef Sir is not a teacher; he is a guiding light who has made a profound impact on my life. His passion for teaching, unwavering support, and exemplary character have earned him a special place in my heart and the hearts of all who have had the privilege of being his students. He embodies the essence of a true mentor, and I am extremely grateful for his influence in shaping me into the person I am today.
