SRINAGAR: On the occasion of Martyrs’ Day, THE PURPOSE (NGO) remembered and paid tribute to the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi.
Co-Founder & Sr. Vice President Er. Ehtisham Khan in a statement reflected on Gandhi ji’s teachings and principles that continue to inspire us toward creating a better state for all.
“Martyrs’ Day holds a profound significance in our history, commemorating the sacrifice of those who laid down their lives for the cause of freedom. Mahatma Gandhi, a beacon of non-violence and justice, left an indelible mark on the struggle for independence,” he said, adding, “In honoring the memory of Mahatma Gandhi, THE PURPOSE seeks to emphasize the timeless relevance of his teachings. Gandhi’s commitment to truth, non-violence, and social justice serves as a guiding light for our efforts to build a more compassionate and inclusive state.”
Khan remarked, “On this day, let us draw inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi’s unwavering commitment to a harmonious society. His principles of truth and non-violence are the pillars upon which we can build a state that prioritizes the well-being of its citizens.
