Kulgam: The District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) Kulgam hosted a two-day Sports-cum-Cultural Programme in conjunction with J&K VYOM 2023.
Throughout the program, participants engaged in a variety of sports and cultural activities, including carrom, chess, drawing, Mehendi art, poetry, and recitation and other talent competitions.
These activities not only added vibrancy to the event but also provided a platform for specially-abled participants to express their skills and creativity.
DSWO Kulgam, Sanobar Altaf said that the initiative was part of the larger J&K VYOM 2023 inclusive Purple Festival, showcasing a commitment to inclusivity and community engagement of persons with disabilities.
She also interacted with persons with disabilities and listened to the concerns with assuring timely resolution of their grievances.
TSWOs, employees from education, social welfare and District Youth Services & Sports department and representatives from various associations of specially-abled persons were also present.
