Hajin: An awareness program targeting educated youth was conducted at Government Degree College Hajin on Thursday, with the goal of fostering interest in agripreneurship among the youth.
Organized by the Department of Agriculture, the program took place in the conference hall of GDC Hajin.
The initiative aimed to educate rural youth, encouraging them to consider agriculture as a full-time or part-time profession for lucrative returns. Experts motivated participants to become job providers rather than job seekers, suggesting involvement in projects under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP).
Awareness sessions about Kisan Sathi and Daksh Kisan were also conducted, providing participants with valuable information about government schemes and their associated benefits.
Key figures present at the event included AEO Hajin Javid Ahmad, AEO Sumbal Rahila Basharat, JAEO Hajin Mir Hassan, Fayaz Ahmad JAEO, Parvaiz Ahmad from the Department of Horticulture, and other department officials. The event witnessed a substantial turnout of students.
