Blood donation Camp in Wuyan Pampore receives overwhelming support

Pampore: A blood donation camp was organized at Wuyan village of Pampore Tehsil in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, on Saturday.
The camp, a joint initiative by Ehsaas-E-Insaniyat and Sub District Hospital, Pampore, aimed to encourage voluntary blood donation and extend a lifeline to those in critical need.
The blood donation was inaugurated by the Block Medical Officer Pampore, Dr Asima Nazir in the presence of Senior Medical Officer (SMO) Dr Naseer Ahmad, Supervisor Lab Technical Shameem Ahmad, Supervisor Farooq Ahmad, members of Ehsaas-E-Insaniyat, and respected civil society members from the area.
The aim of the camp was to motivate individuals to donate blood voluntarily, emphasizing the critical role it plays in saving the lives of patients who require immediate transfusions, officials told Kashmir Reader.
The response from the community was overwhelming, with 39 volunteers coming forward to contribute to this noble cause. The selfless act of donating blood not only reflects the compassion and empathy of the people of Wuyan village but also showcases their commitment to the well-being of their fellow citizens.
Block Medical Officer Pampore Dr Asima Nazir expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Wuyan, especially the youth, for their enthusiastic participation and altruistic spirit. Their willingness to donate blood voluntarily has undoubtedly made a significant impact, potentially saving the lives of those facing medical emergencies. The camp stands as a testament to the collective strength and compassion of the community, highlighting the positive change that can be achieved through unity and kindness.
