Srinagar: Delhi Public School, Srinagar, is basking in the glory of a remarkable achievement at the Inter DPS Zone 1 Football Tournament held at DPS Amritsar. The tournament, which featured spirited participation from 16 schools across the region, witnessed DPS Srinagar’s exceptional performance, securing the 3rd position. Out of the 6 matches played, they emerged victorious in 5, underlining their exceptional skills and teamwork.
Principal Shafaq Afshan praised the students for their achievement, saying, “We are immensely proud of our students for their exceptional performance in the tournament. This triumph reflects their dedication to sports and the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and commitment. We are excited to see them rise to the challenge in the upcoming national tournament in Navi Mumbai.”

Labeeb, one of DPS Srinagar’s standout players, received the “Best Player of the Tournament” award for his remarkable skills and contributions on the field. His achievement further exemplifies the school’s commitment to nurturing talent and excellence in sports.
The upcoming tournament in Navi Mumbai, scheduled from December 3 to 5, promises to be a significant challenge for DPS Srinagar. Competing against other top teams from the region, it presents an excellent opportunity for the students to showcase their talent and establish themselves as a formidable force in the world of sports. DPS Srinagar is among 18 teams from the whole country, who have qualified for the nationals to be held in Navi, Mumbai.
