Hajin: The students of Government Boys’ Higher Secondary School Naidkhai here in Gund Jahangir village of Hajin in Bandipora district are facing significant challenges due to the absence of adequate transport facilities in their locality.
A group of aggrieved students on Thursday morning blocked the Hajin-Naidkhai Sopore road for some time and halted traffic movement to attract the attention of authorities.
The students alleged that they are not able to attend classes on a daily basis due to a lack of transport facilities as they reach their educational institution late every day.
Naveed Rashi, a class 12 student alleged that due to non-availability of transport facilities, they get late to school every day, which also affects their education career.
Meanwhile, the residents of Gund Jahangir, particularly the student community, have demanded bus service from Sopore to Sumbal via Gund Jahangir which can ease their sufferings.
