CRPF organises medical camp at far-flung Wahab Sahab Pampore

PAMPORE: 185 Battalion of the Central Re-serve Police Force (CRPF) orga-nized a free medical camp under the civic action programme at the far-flung area of Wajab Sahab Shar Shali village of Pampore in south Kashmir’s Pulwama dis-trict. During the day-long medical camp, free medicines were dis-tributed among the large num-ber of people and devotees who thronged the shrine of Wahab Sahab.

The general public of the area appreciated the role of CRPF in organising medical camps for poor people in far-flung areas. The camp was inaugurated by the local residents in the presence of Commandant 185 Battalion Arun Kumar Bharati, and other CRPF officials CRPF in the prem-ises of Wahab Sahab Shrine. The camp was organised un-der the guidance of IGP Kashmir Ops Sector CRPF Gyanendra Kumar Verma.

The main aim of the medical camp was to provide basic as well as specialist health care facilities to the people of the far-flung areas of Wahab Sahab at their doorsteps, CRPF officials told Kashmir Reader.A total of 272 personnel of vari-ous ages/gender were given free medical advice, treatment, check-ups and medicines. The main objective of CRPF is to provide assistance in those re-mote areas where locals cannot avail of the facilities from the Civ-il Administration. In this order, 185 Battalion CRPF organised a medical camp at Wahab Khar and local people were given treatment for various diseases.

The assur-ance was given to local people that they can also take medicine from the unit hospital of 185 Battalion for minor illnesses and for serious illnesses they can approach CRPF Madadgar where all kinds of med-icines, and medical treatment will be provided to them, CRPF offi-cials told Kashmir Reader. Arun Kumar Bharati, Comman-dant 185 Bn, and other officers, and personnel of 185 Battalion CRPF along with local prominent persons witnessed the occasion. Dr. Vineet Tejyan, and Dr. Ashif Rashid, Medical Officer 185 Bn and provided treatment to the needy people with the assistance of local health workers Shahid Maqbool.

All local people, prominent per-sons of the far-flung area Wahab Sahab appreciated the work of 185 Battalion CRPF for always lend-ing their hands for the welfare of the local people wherever they are deployed. Taking to Kashmir Reader, Com-mandant Arun Kumar Bharati said that the purpose of the medi-cal camp was to provide quality health care to all those patients who cannot afford to pay the doc-tors and purchase medicines from the market.

Since its deployment in the re-gion, CRPF is continuously pro-viding help to poor and needy people and has served humanity by organising various activities under CRPF Madadgaar and Civic Action Programmes. He urged that such a programme is being organised by 185 Bn regu-larly to build a strong bond with the local population and to devel-op a sense of belongingness. He said that CRPF is determined to serve society right from Law and order issues to other fronts. He also appealed to the Chil-dren, Youths and locals to par-ticipate with CRPF in such kind of work and say “NO to Drugs” and fight against bad elements of society.
