BANDIPORA: 13RR F Coy Hajin in collaboration with DFA Zone Sonawari organised Jehlum Soccer Cup in Hajin for the youth of Bandipora district at Sports Ground Hajin to motivate them towards physical fitness and foster sportsmanship.
Sixteen teams from various parts of the district have registered for the tournament. The inaugural match was played between Wahab Sports Hajin vs Jehlum FC Sumbal on Saturday here.
The tournament is aimed to provide an opportunity for young talents to showcase their skills. It was inaugurated by Chairman MC Hajin Irshad Ahmad Wani in the presence of Deputy Chairman Waseem Parray, 2IC 13RR and senior officials.
The Army assured the local population of the continued cooperation to assist in boosting sports in the area and conduct sports events in the future also.
