Locals, officials appreciate ‘exceptional medical and paramedical staff’

BANDIPORA: Doctors at CHC Hajin performed the first-ever Total Abdomen Hysterectomy(TAH) surgery in the Sonawari area of Bandipora district on Wednesday.
The official while talking to Kashmir Reader said that this surgery was performed and headed by consultant gynaecologist Dr Shani Aalam, Anaesthetist Dr.Sajad Munshi, OT Technicians, Hilal Ahmad, Faisal Rashid, Arshid Ahmad and M Ramzan Male Nurse, Nursing orderlies Abdul Qayoom and Fatima and sweeper Javid Ahmad.
This surgery was performed under the supervision of in-charge BMO Dr Asif, Dr Showkat Ahmad and the overall guidance of CMO Bandipora. This surgery was done under the Central government’s Ayushman Bharat initiative, he said
The cost of such surgeries in the private sector amounts is over 50,000 rupees but the efforts of our medical staff’s hard work, talent and selfless initiative provided the same free of cost to the people of CHC Hajin under the Ayushman Bharat initiative(Golden Card), the official added.

The success of this Total Abdomen Hysterectomy surgery is a testament to the collective skills and unwavering dedication of the medical and paramedical staff at CHC Hajin.
The official said the patient had a major complication of dysfunctional uterine bleeding and was not responding to medication but with the timely intervention of such a dedicated and experienced team, all went well.
By successfully performing such a complex surgical procedure, they have demonstrated their remarkable knowledge, precision, and the highest standards of patient care, he said.
