KTA concerned over sluggish pace of work on Smart City projects

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Traders Alliance (KTA) has asked the LG administration to speed up work on smart city projects in Srinagar.
Aijaz Shahdhar, President of KTA, in a statement said, “While the speed of work on smart city projects was good but there has been sluggish approach post the G20 meeting took place in Srinagar. Smart City projects are scattered across Srinagar city, it is important that these Projects are finished at the earliest as the dug up roads, footpaths is hampering movement of general public and has affected business in the city.”
The government agencies should on priority finish works undertaken under the Smart City initiative, Shahdhar said, adding that they have urged the authorities to expedite the project’s work, but nothing has been done so far.
The LG administration should prioritise finishing smart city projects since it has kept businesses in regions where work is being done captive, he said.
