AIIMS Awantipora will be completed in 2024

It is PM’s gift to the people of Kashmir: Ravinder Raina

PAMPORE: Bharatiya Janata Party’s Jammu and Kashmir president on Monday said that AIIMS at Awantipora is a gift to the people of Kashmir from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and it will be completed next year.
Raina said this while talking to the media persons after inspecting the ongoing work on All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Hospital in Awantipora. He was accompanied by chairperson Waqf Board chairperson, Dr. Darakshan Andrabi, BJP vice president Sofi Mohammad Yousuf, BJP spokesperson Altaf Thakur, district president Mohammad Lateef Bhat, along with other leaders and BJP workers.
The BJP J&K president said, “We are thankful to our prime minister for releasing thousands of crores of rupees for AIIMS Awantipora. This is a gift from our Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the people of Kashmir.”
He said the work on AIIMS is going on at a great pace for CPWD, contractors, engineers, GM and all workers need to be appreciated. “The work was delayed for a while after some land issues. Those were resolved and the work is going on at a very fast speed,” he said, adding that many blocks have already been completed.
Once completed, the hospital which will have 50 different departments will immensely serve the people of Kashmir, Raina said, adding that the people will not have to go to AIIMS Delhi, Safdarjung, Gangaram, Max and other hospitals in Delhi and other cities as they will be treated here in the next one and a half year.
