Hajin: Army Goodwill School Hajin of 13RR in collaboration with J&K Forest Department on Monday celebrated World Environment Day under the theme “Mission Life Program’ on the premises of the school.
The students of the institute performed several cultural and other programs related to environmental issues. They also recited poems on nature.
Manzoor Ahmad Malik, Ranger, Forest Department block Hajin was the chief guest on the occasion while Principal Army Goodwill School Hajin Abdul Aziz was the guest of honour.
The students of AGS showed keen interest in knowing the importance of the environment and responsibility towards safeguarding the environment. The Range officer in his address highlighted the collective responsibility to educate children about the environment and to encourage and motivate them to heal and preserve the environment for future generations.
The main aim of this program was to educate the masses about the environment, planting trees and clean surroundings besides raising awareness on environmental issues.
