JKTF organises mega Enrollment Car rally in Pampore

New enrollment will reach up to 1000 students in Pampore: ZEO

PAMPORE: A Mega Enrolment Car rally was held at the Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday.
The Car rally was organised by Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum Zone Pampore under the Chairmanship of District President JKTF Pulwama Abdul Hamid Trumboo in which a large gathering of teachers, masters and senior citizens especially the retired teachers and masters from Kakapora, Pulwama and other zones participated in the day-long rally.
The drive was flagged off by Tehsildar Pampore Zuber Ahmad Bhat in presence of Zonal Education Officer Pampore Abdul Rasheed, JKTF present zone Pampore Bilal Ahmad and other officials from ZEO office Pampore. Around 60-70 vehicles took part in the rally.
The car rally passed through the main market Saffron Town Pampore, Baghander, Meej, Lalpora, Konibal, Munpora, Wuyan, Khrew, Shar Shali, Ladhoo, Krenchoo, Chandhara, Hatiwara, Samboora, Patalbagh, Literbal, Kadalbal Pampore.
The people of adjacent villages were given awareness about the ongoing enrollment drive. They were told that government provides free books, uniforms and meals to students at schools. They were also told that government teachers there are more highly qualified than private school teachers and were asked to enroll their kids in government schools, officials told Kashmir Reader.
“Through today’s rally we want to convey our message to parents that government schools have better facilities and our teachers are competent enough,” ZEO Pampore Abdul Rasheed told Kashmir Reader, adding that parents should admit their wards in government schools. He said that they will carry this message to every household and every corner of the education zone.
“The aim is to mobilise society for sending out-of-school students to government schools,” he said.
He said that government schools are well-equipped with all facilities and have highly qualified and trained teachers. He added that they have playing and teaching-learning aids for KG classes which turned to learning into an interesting activity for kids.
Zonal President Teachers Pampore Bilal Ahmad said that they are thankful to Tehsildar Pampore Zuber Ahmad Bhat who flagged off the rally.
He said that for the past two years, the government has upgraded facilities in government schools and they have better infrastructure.
“We appeal to parents to send their children to government schools where teachers are more qualified than private schools,” he said, adding that government schools did exemplary work during COVID-19.
