Anantnag : A hideout of militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba was busted on intervening Sunday and Monday night, leading to recovery of arms and ammunition, in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said.
They said that on basis of a specific input developed over a period of time by Anantnag Police, a joint CASO with Army’s 1 RR was launched in Rakh Momin Dangi area in Bijbehara.
The search operation, they said, led to recovery of arms and ammunition and other war-like stores.
The recovered arms and ammunition, they said, included; 5 IEDs (PTDs programmed timer devices and RCIEDs, 6 detonators, 3 pistols, 5 Pistol Magazines, 124 numbers of 9 mm rounds and 13 batteries.
“A case has been registered in this regard for further investigations”, they further said. (GNS)
