Minor among three injured in wild animal attack at Ladhoo Pampore

PAMPORE: Three members of a family were injured after a wild animal attacked them at Ladhoo village of Pampore in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The injured included a four-year’s boy. Locals informed Kashmir Reader that a family that lives in a makeshift hut at Ladhoo village of Pampore.
“On the intervening night of Thursday and Friday they were mauled by a wild animal,” they said.
The injured family members were identified as Zahid Khan (4) son of Zakir Hussain Khan, his father Zakir Khan (32) and Zakir’s wife Shaheena Akhtar (28), all residents of Kalakote Rajouri presently living at Batpora Ladhoo.
The incident took place late night about 12.15 am when a leopard attacked them at their temporary tent, resulting in serious injuries to four year old Zahid Khan, Zakir Khan and Shaheena Akhter, relatives told Kashmir Reader.
The minor boy was rushed to the Sub District Hospital Pampore for treatment from where he was referred to SMHS hospital Srinagar for further treatment.
Wildlife Ranger Range Khrew Khursheed Ahmad confirmed to Kashmir Reader that a minor boy among three persons were injured in a wild animal attack at Ladhoo village of Pampore.
