Refresher courses organised by DYSS concludes

Srinagar: The week long refresher course organised by Youth Services and Sports Department concludes here on Monday.
A total of 80 trainees of Srinagar District took part in the week-long refresher courses who underwent the training in the disciplines of Hockey, Hand Ball, Fencing and Athletics by a panel of experts and resource persons from the Department.
Joint Director (Kashmir), Youth Services and Sports Department, Bashir Ahmed, while speaking on the concluding ceremony said that the aim of these courses is to update the knowledge of the in-service employees in selected sports disciplines and makes them aware of the latest developments in the field of sports.
He stated that “The Department of Youth Services and Sports has produced coaches and sports trainers of high calibre and significantly contributed in rendering their expertise and assistance in the preparation of the teams for various Zonal, District, and UT Level activities,” he added.
JD YSS was addressing a gathering of trainees which included PETs, PEMS, and REKs. He was accompanied by District Youth Services and Sports Officer Srinagar Balbir Singh and other senior officers of the Department.
