Srinagar Chapter of Cost Accountants of India conducted convention in collaboration with Degree College Bemina

SRINAGAR: The Srinagar Chapter of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India in collaboration with AAA Memorial College Bemina held Students Convention to felicitate meritorious students who had passed different courses of CMA.
Prof. Qayyum Hussain (Vice Chancellor – Cluster University, Srinagar) was the Chief Guest. While delivering his lecture he complemented the Srinagar Chapter of ICMAI and Bemina Degree College for conducting skill development courses on GST which is going a long way to enhance the employability of students. He hoped that many such courses will be conducted for the benefit of the students.
CMA Bashir Masoudi, in his keynote address explained the importance of CMA courses in the present day context. He said that the Srinagar Chapter of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India is having MOU with the Higher Education Department of Government of J&K for conducting different Skill Development Courses in commerce through Bemina Degree College, which is designated as HUB College. For the first time, Under MOU The Institute of Cost Accountant of India has conducted GST Course for the students of Bemina degree college which has been successfully concluded, and 40 students have passed the course and are being felicitated in the function. Based on the success of recent GST course, ICMAI is starting fresh batch of GST course consisting of about 125 students of HUB and other spoke colleges associated with Bemina Degree College as HUB College. First three Rank holders were felicitated in the function. Iman Shabir had secured First rank.
Prof. Nazir Ahmad Simanani in his welcome address explained the importance of skill development for enhancing employability among the students once they complete the degree.
CMA Shailendra Kumar Palival (Chairman- NIRC) and CMA Rajendra Singh Bhati (Member -NIRC) of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India also addressed the students and conveyed to them the advantages of joining CMA course and job opportunities of CMAs.
Rank holders of Foundation and Intermediate First group were also felicitated in the function. Tehseena Ashraf and Maieda Irfan had secured first rank in Foundation and Intermediate First group respectively.
The Institute of Cost Accountants of India is a statutory body established under Act of Parliament and has 113 Chapters, more than 90 thousand members and 5lac Students throughout India and abroad.
