KUPWARA: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir today convened a meeting of all concerned officers to finalise arrangements put in place to ensure smooth conduct of Independence Day celebration, 2022 in Handwara Division of Kupwara district.
During the meeting, the ADC stressed upon the officers to ensure fool-proof arrangements for smooth conduct of the National event.
The ADC stressed the need for maintaining protocol in seating arrangements and also issued directions to the police and R&B department for taking proper protocol of the National flag.
The meeting was informed that rehearsal and main function of the Independence Day celebration, 2022 will be held at District Police Lines (DPL) Kulangam, Handwara where the National flag will be hoisted and the VIP will take salute on the March past.
The meeting was informed that the function will start with Shehnai vadan at 8 AM.
The ADC also reviewed preparations for the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and other programmes including essay writing, debates, painting and National Anthem singing competitions being held at all schools under the ongoing ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mohatsav’ programme .
Among other officers, the meeting was attended by Dy SP,DAR Handwara, Executive officer, Medical Superintendent, Dy CEO, ZEO Handwara and sectoral officers.
