Kahcharai land retrieved from encroachers in Pampore village

PAMPORE: Tehsil Administration Pampore conducted an Anti-encroachment drive and retrieved Kahcharai land and demolished some illegal structures at Gundbal village of Pampore Tehsil in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Acting tough against the illegal encroachment of the Kahcharai land, Revenue Department Pampore under the supervision of Tehsildar Pampore Zubair Ahmad Bhat (KAS) conducted an anti encroachment drive at Gundbal village area of Pampore.
During the drive revenue officials retrieved 3 Kanal and 7 marla Kahcharai land and demolished some illegal structures including walls and tin shed.
The encroachment, teams of Revenue officials headed by Naib Tehsildar Pampore Javaid Ahmad, Patwari Halqa and assisted by the local Police, officials told Kashmir Reader.
The officials said that the anti-encroachment drive was conducted after receiving complaints from the Zamindars of Gundbal village and retrieving the Kahcharai land from the illegal encroachers.
He told Kashmir Reader that a patch of land was encroached by some residents.
They said that it was a pathway to agricultural land.
They added the encroachment was evicted and the path was restored for zamindars of the village.
Meanwhile, the local people of the area applauded the Revenue department Pampore for removal of illegal land from the encroachers.
