Pampore’s Tabin to participate in Open Thai Boxing Championship at Dubai

PAMPORE: Pampore’s Tabin Muzafar Wagay has been selected for the upcoming Open International Thai Boxing Championship and open MMA Championship.
Thai Boxing Championship is scheduled to be held at Dubai from July 29 to 31 while MMA Championship will be held at New Delhi which commences from August 12 to 14.
“ I am first junior martial art player from Pampore selected for National Championship and I am also first junior from Pulwama to play open International Thai Boxing Championship Dubai,” Tabin said.
Tabin said that it was his coach Sajad Ahmad Bhat, who trained and guided to reach at this level.
“ With out his guidance I would have not been able to get selected at National and International level,” he said, adding that his mother, brother and sisters also supported him.
Tabin said that he is eyeing gold at both the events.
The young martial art player has won many medals at district, State and National level.
“ I won three gold so far, two silver and five bronze so far” he said, adding that he is an official and refree at Pancake silat games.
Tabin, 10th class student of Dehli Modern Public School Pampore had dreamed of becoming a boxer since his childhood and he started his training at the local coach Sajad Ahmad Bhat.
Tabin’s mother told Kashmir Reader that they very happy with his selections and feel proud of him.
His coach Sajad Ahmad Bhat , said, I am happy with Tabin’s performance.
