VC’s sports festival concluded at college of temperate sericulture

SRINAGAR: College of Temperate Sericulture, SKUAST-K, Mirgund Thursday conducted the valedictory function of Vice Chancellor’s Sports Festival 2022.
More than 100 students participated in different events including Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton, Tug of War etc.
Earlier on 10th of June 2022, the festival was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor SKUAST-K Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganai along with other officers of the University.
Dean Student Welfare, SKUAST-K Prof. M. A. A. Siddqui who was the chief guest on valedictory function congratulated Assoc. Dean CoTS Mirgund and his organizing team for meticulously holding the mega event by involving all the students of the College.
While handing over the trophies and certificates to the winners/runners Prof. Siddiqui emphasized the need for engaging the students in extracurricular activities for their mental wellbeing and holistic development.
Associate Dean College, Prof M. F. Baqual while highlighting the importance of such events expressed his satisfaction over the successful conduct of the festival. He extended his gratitude to Honourable Vice Chancellor Prof. N. A. Ganai and Dean Student Welfare for rendering support to all the student programmes of College and requested further support from university for conduct of such activities.
Dr. Nisar Ahmad Ganie (SWO) CoTS presented a brief report about the festival through power point presentation.
OSD to Vice Chancellor, Professor Azmat Alam Khan and other scientists of the college were also present on the occasion.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. I. L. Khan, Warden of the College.
The seven days sports festival was organized by Students Welfare wing of College in collaboration with the Dean Student Welfare SKUAST-K.
