Two drug peddler arrested by police in Pampore, 5 kg Contraband recovered

PAMPORE: Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance in Saffron Town Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.
Acting on information, police party of Police Station Pampore led by SHO Pampore Adil Ashraf under the supervision of SDPO Pampore Mir Imtiyaz Ahmad while naka checking at Bagandar Pampore apprehended two drug peddlers.
A police officials confirmed to Kashmir Reader that arrested two drug peddlers during naka checking at Pampore. He said that the drive against drug peddlers will continue till the Pampore is cleared off from the menace.
The arrested drug Peddlers have been identified as Touseef Ahmad Masoodi @Tawseef Peer son of Nizam Ud Din Masoodi, resident of Bagandar Pampore and Mehran Malik @ Mehran Mota son of Farooq Ahmad, resident of Drangbal Pampore.
The duo shifted to police station Pampore where he was under custody.
Five Kilograms of Contraband substance like grinded Canabis recovered from their possession.
Police Pampore again requested general public to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood.Residents of Saffron Town People hails the efforts of Pampore Police especially SDPO Pampore Mir Imtiyaz Ahmad and SHO Adil Ashraf.
A Case under relevant sections of NDPS has been registered at Police Station Pampore. Further investigation going on.
