J&K Yateem Foundation distributes Eid food kits among deserving, needy families in Srinagar

Srinagar: J&K Yateem Foundation (JKYF) district unit Srinagar expended over Rs four lakh by distributing Eid Food Kits among 200 deserving and needy families belonging to Srinagar district, during holy Ramadhan 1443 Hijri.
Chairman JKYF Mohammad Rafiq Lone while talking to media on the side lines of the distribution function held at Baitul Hilal Jawahar Nagar Srinagar, said that over 200 food kits containing rice, grocery items, edible oil, soap, detergents etc were provided to the needy families. He informed that similar food kits would be distributed in other districts of Jammu & Kashmir before Eid ul Fitr.
Chairman further said that district Bandipora has already distributed 90 food kits whileas district Baramulla distributed 120 food kits, worth Rs 3 lakh among the deserving families.
He informed that over 6000 patients and their attendants availed the services at two Pantry Service Points at SHMS hospital and JKYF’s Al HILAL Diagnostic Centre near Aaweren, The Bund Karan Nagar in Srinagar. The Centre has both Laboratory as well as USG facility where any patient could avail 50 to 70 percent concession on almost all diagnostic procedures.
In addition, Ambulance services and medical oxygen cylinders and Concentrators were provided to scores of needy patients during COVID pandemic, Mr Lone added.
Extending gratitude to all the contributors, donors and well wishers for their continuing support to JKYF, Chairman also applauded the relentless, sincere and professional hardwork of all volunteers across Jammu & Kashmir.
He urged all volunteers to continue the missionary work with zeal & zest to reach out to needy and deserving people.
Besides General Secretary JKYF Mohammad Yaqoob Reshi, District Representative JKYF Srinagar Mohammad Iqbal Beigh and several volunteers were present on the occasion.
