Islamia College Provides Training Support for Degree Colleges Across Kashmir Division for Establishment of LMS

SRINAGAR: The phase-II of the LMS training Programme was held in the Islamia College Srinagar on 28th March 2022 in which participants from various Government Degree Colleges took part. The representation was from GDC-Pulwama, GDC-Womens Baramulla, GDC- Ganderbal, GDC-Bijbehara, GDC-Zakura, GDC-Kupwara, GDC-Nawakadal, GDC-Pampore,GDC-Shopian, GDC-Handwara, GDCKulgam in this phase.
The Principal Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department, Shri Rohit Kansal (IAS) launched the initiative of Learning Management System (LMS) in designated Government degree Colleges across Kashmir division. Principal Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department, Shri Rohit Kansal (IAS) had assigned the responsibility of mentoring, provisioning of LMS software & training to the designated colleges with the Islamia college of Science & Commerce, Srinagar.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the host College Professor Sheikh Ajaz Bashir welcomed the participants and emphasized the need to bring in digital intervention in teaching-learning process. He gave an overview of LMS software, designed and developed at Islamia College.
Professor Abdul QayoomWadoo, Head, Department of Computer Applications in his lucid power point presentation provided an overview of the functioning and operation of LMS to the participants.
Professor Tanveer A. Khan, Incharge, IT & SS gave an in-depth insight into the working of LMS at ICSC. In his presentation he focused about IC-LMS facilities and the flipped mode of learning, time table management, log of lectures delivered, availability of study material in the form of text, audio and videoto conduct tests and quizzes are incorporated therein.Participants from the designated colleges thanked Principal for their apt handling of the day long proceedings.
