KU’s Pharmacy Department holds meeting with ‘Wolters Kluwer’ team

Srinagar: Kashmir University’s Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences on Thursday organised a meeting with ‘Wolters Kluwer’, a reputed organisation that provides online and mobile drug information service—Lexicomp—for faculty, students, pharmacists, physicians and paramedical staff.
‘Lexicomp’ offers latest, in-depth and evidence-based drug information in the form of drug monographs in multiple databases.
Besides providing a concise point of care of drug information, facts and comparisons, Lexicomp also provides quick access to authentic and referenced drug information which is highly beneficial to Pharma students while pursuing their studies, as well as for pharmacists/physicians and paramedical staff while discharging their professional duties.
The demonstration of Lexicomp was made by Dr I Vinod, Lead Segment Director South Asia, in the form of a power-point presentation which was attended by faculty members, research scholars and students of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Earlier, Prof Mubashir H Masoodi, Head of the Department, welcomed the guests and participants and thanked the organisation for initiating such robust clinical drug information data-bases and making them accessible to the students with relevant and authentic information.
The meeting ended with concluding remarks by Dr G N Bader who thanked the participants and expressed gratitude to Dr Vinod, Vinay Ratan, Key Accounts Manager, Govt Business India and Raja Rouf, Coordinator, Wolters Kluwer, J&K.
