SDH Pampore starts screening of government employees, banks
PAMPORE: Three Jammu and Kashmir bank unit’s closed after 16 of its employees tested positive for Covid-19 in Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district from the last two days.
Tehsildar Administration Pampore ordered closure of Jammu and Kashmir Bank main branch Pampore in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district for some days after its seven employees tested positive for Covid-19.
Naib Tehsildar Pampore Bashir Ahmad Naikoo along with Tehsil official Mir Murwat Hussian surprise visit to main branch Drangbal Pampore and ordered branch manager to closed business unit branch Drangbal area of Pampore for some days, officials told Kashmir Reader.
Team of health department SDH Pampore conducted sampling of bank employees after some employees tested COVID-19 positive.
“it has been brought into our notice that five employees at main branch of Jammu and Kashmir bank turned positive on Yesterday,” Naib Tehsildar Pampore Bashir Ahmad Naikoo told Kashmir Reader, adding that they carried out a surprise visit to the branch on the instructions of Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din.
He added that they found a gathering there and they asked concerned Nodal Officer COVID-19 block Pampore Dr Mohammad Ashraf to send a medical team to the place.
” They carried out their sampling and two of them turned positive on the spot,” he said.
He told Kashmir Reader that they asked the manager of the Drangbal branch for closing the bank for some days till the positive cases recover.
He also said that they instructed the manager to follow Covid Appropriate Behaviour and other SOP’s.
He said that ATMs should function normally.
Two more branches of Jammu and Kashmir Bank were closed in Wuyan and Khrew areas of Pampore Tehsil after nine of its staff members tested positive for COVID-19.
The branch heads of respective heads told Kashmir Reader that the business units have been closed after 5 and 4 employees turned positive at Wuyan and Khrew bank branches.
Meanwhile, Sub district hospital Pampore carried out mass screening at government offices and business units at the Saffron town Pampore.
