Auqaf Committee Pampore lends helping hand to COVID patients, provide oxygen concentrators

PAMPORE: Idara Auqaf Islamia Trust Pampore has been lending a helping hand to deal with on going pandemic in the Saffron Town Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The Trust has been distributing oxygen concentrators to aged chest patients during winter season.
” Many oxygen concentrators have been made available to COVID patients during the past year. This year the stockpile of oxygen concentrates have been increased,”
President, Mohammad Maqbool Shah, Idara Auqaf Islamia Trust Pampore told Kashmir Reader, adding that they were the largest distributors of oxygen concentrators in Pampore.
He told Kashmir Reader that some oxygen concentrators and nebulizers are lying in the Trust and people in need of them can avail the same.
Besides, oxygen concentrators, poor people who couldn’t buy medicine from the market are provided free medicine.
” Free examinations and diagnosis are also carried out for poor patients at a lab run by the trust,” he said.
The president of the Trust appealed to people to adopt CAB to save themselves from contracting COVID.
” My appeal to people is to follow precautions strictly because omicron is spreading faster, don’t offer yourself to this fast spreading variant, stay home and take all precautions,” he said.
The local residents of Pampore have hailed the efforts of the trust.
“They have been serving destitutes for the past many years, now they are lending a helping hand to COVID patients by arranging oxygen concentrators for them,” the residents said.
