Agriculture Department relocates Checkpoint at Lower Munda Qazigund

Anantnag: The Director Agriculture Kashmir Chowdhary Mohammad Iqbal today said that the Department had adopted a multi level monitoring mechanism to ensure that only the genuine inputs (seed, pesticides, fertilizers) reaches Kashmir Division and the interests of farming community are safeguarded. Availability of the quality inputs has a direct and long term impact on the overall agriculture economy of the region, he added.
These views, were expressed by Director Agriculture Kashmir after relocating the Departmental Lower Munda Check point. Chowdhary Iqbal highlighted the importance of close vigil to monitor the inflow of agriculture inputs (Seed, Fertilizer, Pesticides) to Kashmir Division. He asked the concerned officers of the Check-point to work in close coordination with the district administration so that the timely action in right direction could be ensured.
Director Agriculture impressed upon the concerned officers to adopt and take help from modern scientific technologies in ensuring that only quality agriculture inputs are made available to the farming community.
Director Agriculture Kashmir was accompanied by Chief Agriculture Officer Anantnag/Kulgam and other senior officers of the Departrment.
Later on Director Agriculture visited Ganderbal district of central Kashmir and took stock of the implementation of various programmes and schemes.
Chief Agriculture Officer Ganderbal and senior officers of the district apprised him of different activities of the Department in the concerned district.
