Srinagar: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology Kashmir held a 10-day higher-order skill training for the students and research scholars from the various institutions of Jammu and Kashmir.
The training programme on “Chromatographic & Spectroscopic Techniques for Phyto-chemical Estimation” was organized by the university’s Research Centre for Residue & Quality Analysis, Directorate of Research under World Bank-ICAR funded National Agricultural Higher Education Project (NAHEP) for the institutional development of SKUAST-K.
Director Research, SKUAST-K, Prof Sarfaraz Ahmad Wani, who was the chief guest at the occasion, while talking about the significance of the training, said it is a window of opportunity for the trainees to work in different research and development sectors or they can initiate their own startups for employability and wealth creation. He assured the SKUAST-K laboratory facilities to the trainees and motivated them for setting up a food testing laboratory.
Director Agriculture Department Kashmir Choudary Mohd Iqbal, who was the guest of honour at the occasion, talked about the various relent opportunities. He appreciated the SKUAST-K role for conducting such trainings.
Director Education SKUAST-K Prof MN Khan also spoke at the occasion. The training was attended by the 20 participants. Scientist of RCRQA SKUAST-K Prof. Ashraf AlamWani presented the vote of thanks.
