Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party President and Member of Parliament from Srinagar Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday expressed deep anguish over a massive overnight fire that broke out at Tatri-Kilshay village in Gurez gutting scores of households.
Expressing solidarity with the fire victims, Farooq prayed for their speedy revival. Sharing in the grief of the affected families, he said, “I received the news of the devastating inferno with utmost grief. Complete village has almost vanquished in the blaze. I hope the incumbent LG administration will lose no time to reach out to the affected with relief and assistance,” he said.
He impressed upon the divisional and district authorities to depute revenue teams to the affected hamlet to assess the losses so that the quantum of losses is gauged and compensated forthwith.
