PAMPORE: On Children’s day, a day long debate cum awareness programme under the theme of drug addiction and was organized by Tehsil Legal Services Committee Pampore under the supervision of Judicial Magistrate Pampore Junaid Imtiyaz Mir at Islamia School Khrew area of Pampore in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday.
Judicial Magistrate Pampore Junaid Imtiyaz Mir who was the Chief guest on the occasion grand welcomed by students, teachers and other participants.
The aim of the initiative was to raise awareness among the students about the menace of drug addiction on the Children’s day.
The programme was attend by members of number of students, civil society, teachers and a locals of the area. Tehsil Legal Services Committee Pampore under the Chairmanship of Junaid Imtiyaz Mir Judicial Magistrate Pampore under the able and noble guidance of Chairman District Legal Services Authority Abdul Rashid Malik Principal District and Sessions Judge Pulwama and Secretary District Legal Services Authority Reyaz Ahmad Chowdhary. On the eve of Children’s Day organised a debate cum awareness programme under the theme “Drug Addiction Impact on Health and Society” at Islamia School Khrew, officials told Kashmir Reader.
The programme was attended by Bar Association Pampore President, Assistant Public prosecutor Pampore, management of the School, PLVs of TLSC Pampore.
Junaid Imtiaz Mir during his speech spoke about the negative consequences of drugs and purpose of the function. He also congratulated the school administration and PLVs for the successful function.
A play was also organised depicting the causes of drug addiction and it’s impact on family. During the debate competition various students from different schools spoke on the occasion on the topic who were felicitated by Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee Pampore with trophies, medals and certificates.
At the end the prizes were distributed among the students, participants and media persons.
