Srinagar: A police constable allegedly hanged himself to death at his residence in Pazelpora Shalimar area in Srinagar district, official sources said.
They said that Bilal Ahmad Dobhi, son of Bashir Ahmad Dobhi, working as a constable in Armed Police wing was found hanging at his home. He was shifted to SKIMS Soura in unconscious condition where the doctors declared him as brought dead on arrival.
When contacted, a police official said that it apparently seems a suicide case. “A case has been registered in this regard for further investigations into the incident”, the official said.
