Civilian killings aimed to disrupt ongoing positive changes: Army commander

Baramulla: Army’s General Officer Commanding 15 corps, Lt General D P Pandey on Sunday said that people of the valley will expose the faces of those who are behind the recent civilian killings.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of inauguration of New Dagger Parivar school in Baramulla, he said that the people who are involved in these condemnable killings need to learn from the children.

“The way children love pure heartedly any living being should be learnt by these killers of humanity. These killings are extremely condemnable and I believe that Kashmiri society being a peaceful society would themselves expose the attackers,” he said.

Lt Gen Pandey said that it is an agenda set to create a rift between the different religious communities of J&K. “From the last one year positive changes have been seen in J&K. So to disrupt these changes and communal harmony, these attacks are aimed to induce violence between the common masses,” he said.

Panday said that he believes all the religions and communities of J&K are equal and they will through harmony support each other and fight against the enemies of the nation.
