MC Pampore organise awareness programme under theme “Kachra Alag karo Amrit Diwas”

PAMPORE: Municipal Committee Pampore on Thursday organised an awareness programme Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav under the theme “Kachra Alag Karo” at townhall Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Executive officer Mohammad Iqbal, Secretary Bashir Ahmad, others officer Nazir Ahmad, Mohammad Akbar, Bedar Ahmad, Safai Karamcharis, besides, scores students of government and private colleges and schools and local people attended the event.
During the programme Municipal Committee officials awareness regarding the cleanliness and other social responsibilities among the students.
As part of the celebrations of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to commemorate the 75th Year of Indian Independence, the week commencing from 27 September to 03 October has been earmarked for highlighting the various activities under Swachh Bharat Mission by the government of India. In this context, Pampore Municipal Committee organised an awareness programme under the theme of ‘Kachra Alag Karo’.
The main objective of the programme Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is to create awareness about cleanliness amongst the people about the importance of cleanliness under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Executive Officer Mohammad Iqbal told Kashmir Reader.
On the first day of Aazadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Municipal Committee Pampore officials on Monday kickstarted it’s week-long programme with Kachra Alag Karo in various wards with awareness among town dwellers in presence of concerned councillors, he said.
